Pizza is absolutely one of my top favorite foods. Isn’t it one of everyone’s favorite?! I have no doubt in my mind that everyone on this earth loves a good cheesy pizza. There’s a lot that goes into making a good pizza and one of those things is a GOOD SAUCE. I believe the sauce needs to be simple. Once you load your pie with toppings, you don’t want the sauce to overpower it.
Pizza sauce isn’t all that complicated as some may think. It can be made in a short 30 minutes and it’s SO much better than a store-bought sauce in a jar. The San Marzano tomatoes make this sauce taste super fresh and bright. Chances are, you’ll already have most, if not all, ingredients on hand.
If you have extra, this will save great in the fridge for a week or in the freezer for up to 6 months. This is also an amazing base for an Italian meat sauce or would be great in a lasagna. It really is so versatile and can be used for so much more than pizza!
