I’ve got a sweet tooth and I love a funky fun martini just as much as the next girl. I combined two of my favorites and make this creamy velvety chocolate martini!
I got my sweet tooth from my dad. We would be the ones ordering dessert at dinner and sneaking brownies and cookies late at night. What can I say, it’s in my blood. Chocolate martini reminds me of my dad every time. He has his bar stocked with just about every chocolate liquor you can think of. When I’m home for Christmas, we make chocolate martinis just about every night. It’s the perfect holiday nightcap.
NOTE: This martini is more of a dessert than an alcoholic beverage. You can absolutely adjust the alcohol amount to your liking. Add more vodka to make it stronger, or less to make it weaker.
CHOCOLATE MARTINI
Prep time: 20 minutes
1.5 oz. vodka
1.5 oz. dark chocolate Godiva chocolate liquor
1.5 oz. baileys Irish cream
3 oz. semi sweet chocolate
1 cup heavy cream
** Freeze martini glass in freezer. I like to do this so the martini stays chilled while I sip. **
Chocolate sauce: In a small pot, add semi sweet chocolate and heavy cream. Bring to a boil then turn heat down to simmer. Stir constantly till chocolate is melted. Turn of heat and let cool completely.
In a cocktail shaker add ice, baileys, vodka, Godiva liquor, and 2 tbs of chocolate sauce. Shake vigorously and poor gently in martini glass. Top with chocolate shavings.
