WHAT I PUT ON MY WEDDING REGISTRY

I know there are so many perks about getting married. You’re marrying your soulmate…so duh that’s the greatest perk of all. But aside from all the love dovey stuff that comes with getting married, there was one thing I was especially excited about. That being, my wedding registry! People get me gifts just because I’m getting married? I won’t say no to that! Plus, being able to stock my kitchen with everything I needed and wanted was a dream come true. My registry was very very long and mostly packed with kitchen stuff. So many good items were bought and gifted to us andI’m still so grateful for that. There were some that I didn’t care for and then some that I have been wanting for years…that I loved! With that being said, I’m going to give y’all a quick rundown of all of my favorites and must haves!

POTS & PANS:

All of these are linked with Crate & Barrel (one of my favorite companies). When it comes to pots and pans, I believe you can do everything you want in the kitchen with just the basics.

My go-to favorite brand for pots and pans is stainless steal All Clad. I got a few Calphalon pots and pans and just didn’t care for them much. They also had a copper finish on the outside that changed colors with the heat and made them look rusty and old. So steer clear of the copper finish, it’s not cute. All Clad stainless steal is so easy to clean and in my opinion, will last a very long time if you take care of them. I also love my All Clad non-stick pans for eggs and foods that are prone to sticking.

I have a Lodge cast Iron skillet that I use every day of my life. They are cheap and pre-seasoned. Go with the already seasoned ones (seasoned just means that it already has a protective layer on it). You can absolutely go with a Staub cast iron.. but they are pricy! A Staub skillet is on my wish list!

Another go-to of mine is my 5.5 qt Le Cruset dutch oven which I use for anything and everything. Soup, chili, marinara sauce, frying… it’s one of the most important items in my kitchen. I went with white, but I recommend black because it will get stained and dirty. Black would hide any imperfection flawlessly.

What I noticed is that most people want to stay within a $100-$300 range when sending gifts… so all of my All Clad expensive sets (upwards of $600) never got bought. People were more likely to buy the singles listed on my registry. So put the expensive sets on your registry, but also put some singles of pots and pans as well!

MIX IT UP:

I could not live without my stand mixer. From pizza dough to bread to cupcakes… you can do it all in this thing. If you love to bake, you need a stand mixer in your life. Plus the matte black finish I got is gorgeous!

So unfortunately I did not get my Vitamix blender on my list, but it’s still something I’d love to invest in. Aside from smoothies, I use my (very old) blender to make salsa, blended tomatoes for marinara, etc. I’ve used a Vitamix before many times and absolutely love it. It takes almost no power at all to blend things, its amazing. If not a Vitamix, I’d love a Ninja.

Although a hand mixer isn’t something I use too often, I do use it at times when I need to make something easy and quick like whip cream or icing.

I think I use a food processor more than my blender. I make bread crumbs, pesto, sauces, homemade peanut butter… anything and everything. If you aren’t a big cook, I say it’s not totally necessary but nice to have!

OONI HAS A PIZZA MY HEART:

Calling all pizza lovers! Although the Ooni was not on my registry, I wish it would have been. It’s my favorite thing in the whole wide world. Okay, I’m exaggerating a little… but it’s amazing and I use it all the time. You can read more about it on this post:

PLATES + BOWLS:

I could no joke, spend an eternity inside the Anthropologie store. Buying cute dishes is my guilty pleasure and I’d buy them all if we had the money to do so. My Anthropologie registry was filled the cutest stuff that unfortunately barely got bought. If you’re anything like me, get on their side and add all of their dishes and kitchen accessories to your registry. It’s all very unique and so so cute! I have some of these bowls and plates and love each and every piece.

ANTHROPOLOGIE CUTENESS:

More Anthro because why not!!!

CUPS + MUGS + GLASSWARE:

When it came to glassware, I really wanted a good mixture of cute/festive and practical every day use. For cute and festive I obviously went to Anthropologie. For every day use, I went with Riedel… this brand is probably the most bought brand because the glass is very thin at the rim and perfect for every day use. I love mine and need more since I’ve dropped and broken half of them (lol oops). I think I got a 12 pack of glasses, both red and white. If you’re a big wine drinker like me, then you need a case of these. Another one of my favorites that I use often is my square edge wine glasses from Crate & Barrel. They are so modern and different and I’m so glad someone gifted us these! So many compliments on these!

DICE IT UP:

I could not lie without my Wusthof Knives. They are, in my opinion, the best knifes out there. I love the grip and the weight of my knives. If you were to only get one knife, I say the chef’s knife is the most universal knife. It’s the one I use most often. Also keep your knives sharp at all times and invest in a sharpener. They’re cheap and usually will come in the set! Aside from cooking knives, Wusthof has wonderful steak knives that we use on occasion. They come in a box of 8 I think and are so great when we cook steaks!

I also could not live without my giant wooden cutting board with sunk edges. I cut large things on this board like steak, ribs, brisket, pork tenderloin, chicken. It’s good for everything, really. Plus the sunken edges make sure juices don’t escape onto the counter.

ALL THINGS BAKING:

Although I love my pyrex dishes (bought at Publix)… I wanting some baking dishes that are bit heavier and fancier. I have a couple Le Cruset dishes that I love and use all the time. Lasagna, enchiladas, baked chicken, baked pasta, brownies, etc. They can be used for everything. Plus, they are cute and durable.

WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE:

If there is one thing on my registry that I love the most, it is this espresso machine. I am obsessed with how easy it is to use and how rich the coffee is. There are so many easy settings to use. You can make simple espresso shots or a café latte. A flat white or a macchiato. I was shocked by how easy it was to put together and use right away. I buy my Nespresso pods online. I usually buy 50 or 60 at a time since they are so cheap. If you are a Starbucks addict like me, this will save you so much money I promise! I’ve been using the built in milk brother lately as the seasons begin to change. Bottom line is, put this on your registry!
